Hello everyone! It’s Valerie from Occasionally Crafty, and I’m happy to stop by today with a fun way to develop your ability to minister through a Month-Long Ministering Challenge!

I love the #LightTheWorld challenge the Church has sponsored during the holiday season the last few years! It’s been such a great way to get outside ourselves and serve in our community through a fun challenge. With the focus on Ministering this year, I thought it would be fun to do something similar with your family, Relief Society, or even Young Women’s class (since our Mia Maids and Laurels are now serving as ministering sisters)!
I can’t take the credit for the idea, as a member of one of my Facebook groups created a calendar that everyone loved. But, I adapted her idea into something that works for my Relief Society, and this month-long ministering challenge was born!
While you can do this any time of the year, I chose September, as most of our kids will be back in school (or heading back soon), and life returns to a more normal routine after summer.

Some things repeat: praying for your sisters by name, for example, or praying about who needs to hear from you that day. Others have a similar theme, like the challenges centered around Family Home Evening or Building Relationships.
My favorite thing about this is that anyone can use it on their own just to learn to be a better ministering sister! I know I am trying to do better, but I often fall short. Completing this challenge will help all of us develop some new ministering skills!
I also made a blank Monthly Ministering Challenge Card for you to use any time of the year. You can add your own dates or just challenge your group to complete one square a day for the entire month.

I really love this and can’t wait to use it! 🙂 Thank you!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! I need all the ministering help I can get!
This is such a great idea, however, I’m not able to get to the downloads. I’ve tried going through the email and going directly to your site.
Any help you could give would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance….
You have to click on the word “here”. I will email it to you directly! Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks so much!
I cannot click and download sadly

I am finding this in October, but I LOVE it!! I shared it with my ministering companions and will be doing some of this on my own. I cannot believe a helping hand for FHE NEVER occurred to me!! That is such an easy task! I printed this and will be using this throughout the remainder of the month. I am wondering how you decide on the Sunday Scriptures? Do you write down what you want to focus on for that month (i.e. faith, wisdom, Christ) or do you just select them randomly? Thank you so much for sharing this!
I am glad this is helpful for you! I would choose scriptures based on our focus for the month, or maybe just different scriptures about ministering! Good luck and enjoy 🙂
