Testimony of the Book of Mormon bookmark

Earlier this month I did something that I have wanted to do for years. I finally went back to school. You might have seen me post something on Facebook about the Pathway Program through the church and BYU-Idaho, and that I was going to participate in it. You can read about the Pathway Program, HERE!

At the beginning of the summer the Pathway missionaries came to our ward and spoke to us. I was down in Primary, so I didn’t get to sit in on the lesson, but my husband did. After church that day he told me all about it, and told me that I should look and see if BYU-Idaho offered the degree that I want to eventually get into. I looked it up, and was so happy when I saw it. After a few weeks of thinking about it, I signed up for classes. I have now been in school for about 4 weeks, and am enjoying it so much. It definitely is work, but I am learning so much, and am gaining a stronger love and testimony of the gospel, the Book of Mormon, and my Savior.

The last two weeks we have discussed the divine origins and purposes of the Book of Mormon as well as the covenants and promises we can find within. As I studied the scripture references and talks within the lessons, I gained a stronger knowledge of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. Today, I wanted to share a printable that you could use to help you strengthen your Testimony as well.

Every other week we have a ‘Testify’ project that we have to share. For my testify project I found 10 scripture references that helped me study a little bit more about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I included scriptures that talk about WHY we need the Book of Mormon, and WHY they were written. More scriptures included WHO (Joseph Smith) translated the plates, and WHY that was so important. I included more scriptures that discussed WHAT blessings we will receive from reading the Book of Mormon. My last scripture reference was the ‘Title Page’ of the Book of Mormon, because in the last paragraph you will find 3 major purposes for the Book of Mormon and for those that read it.

I recorded the scripture references that I chose, and beside it in parentheses I wrote a keyword from that scripture to help me remember what it taught.

Testimony of the Book of Mormon

I created some blank bookmarks for you to print out and use as well. Take some time to read about the Book of Mormon, and pick 10 scriptures that help you gain a stronger testimony of the truthfulness and importance of it. Then, after you have studied and recorded 10 scriptures use the back of the Book of Mormon to write down your testimony.

I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to participate in this wonderful program. I’m sure you will hear more about it over the next year. 🙂

I want to bear testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. The words within this precious book can bring great knowledge and peace to our souls. We can find answers and truth. We can find out what we need to do to return to live in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Because Joseph Smith was faithful and obedient, we now have 2 witnesses of Jesus Christ here on the earth today. I know that as you study the words in this book, you can gain a testimony that it is true.

I hope you can use my ‘Testimony bookmark’ for your own personal study of the Book of Mormon. I would love to hear if you do, and I would also love to hear what scripture(s) you read that helped you know that the Book of Mormon is true.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.sign
