Do you need a great handout for your LDS Primary Lesson, “Jesus Christ Teaches the Nephites the Beatitudes”? Today I am sharing a “Let Your Light Shine” handout that I created that is perfect for this lesson!

Primary 4 Lesson 34: Jesus Christ Teaches the Nephites the Beatitudes

A month or so ago I was released at the 1st counselor in the Primary Presidency. I am now the Valiant 8 & 9 teacher, which consists of 9 boys…which like to talk. haha I am still figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Last Sunday was not such a great Sunday, but I’m not giving up! 😉 What have you found works for your Sr. Primary lessons? I would love ANY and ALL advice.

Let Your Light Shine

Last week one of the scriptures that we would be discussing was 3 Nephi 12:16:

“Therefore let your light so shine before this people, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

I love this scripture, and decided to make a little handout for my class. I love how it turned out, and thought I’d share it here on the blog in case someone wanted to share it in their class.

During class we read the scripture and then discussed how we could let our ‘light’ shine. Wouldn’t these be great to attach to a little flashlight, candle, or THESE little finger lights. These are perfect for LDS Primary lessons, YW lessons, or for Family Home Evening.

If you would like to use these in your lesson, click the link below to print!

I hope you enjoy my handout, and use it for your lesson or to have in your home. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.

I love this Sheena!!! So cute! I do the bulletin in our ward, and I’m so going to use this for the cover art. Thanks for sharing!!!

    1. Thanks Lindsay! I do the bulletin for our ward, I wish that was the only thing I did, haha. I have also used LDS Lane’s coloring sheets for the covers. They’re great! Miss you guys! We think of you often, and hopefully one of these days we will make our way down there to visit you. 🙂

Thanks for letting me know about LDS Lane – I’ll check them out…I’m always looking for good ideas for bulletin covers. 😉 We think of you guys often too, and hope to see you sometime soon! We haven’t been up your way in FOREVER…we need to plan a trip that way, my three younger boys have never been to Idaho! 🙂

        1. I like to use coloring pages from LDS.org too. If I think of anymore I’ll let you know. ? We would love if y’all came up this way. I barely missed you while you were in Utah. One of these day we’ll get together.

I have been teaching the Valiant 11 Class in Primary for the past 4-1/2 years and have loved it! I have 6 girls and 3 boys this year and the girls are definitely the more “chatty” ones, haha! We hosted Elder Larry Lawrence and his sweet wife, Laurel, for our Stake a few weeks back and she gave a suggestion to us that I have implemented in my class. She said that there have been studies conducted recently saying that people who “doodle” while listening to a talk or a speaker, actually retain more than one would think and she added, it generally will keep the listener more quiet. I took her advice and gave each child an inexpensive notebook that we keep in the classroom and they can get them out each week and write/doodle to their heart’s content. The only stipulation was that they were to never look in each other’s notebooks. They will take them home with them at the end of the year but can keep adding to them.
Just a thought on how to wrangle those cute boys you’ve got! 😉
PS…You really are an amazing young woman and I am so thankful I have been able to put your darling handouts to good use!

    1. Thank you so much for your great comment, Tami! I have heard the same thing about doodling, and decided to create ‘Scripture’ journals for each of the boys. Some boys are very excited while some don’t want to use them. Last week was a much better week than the week before. It will take time, love, and patience. Thank you again, for your advice and kind words, I really appreciate it. 🙂

I have tried all day to print your conference print outs and have not been able to.

    1. What conference printables are you trying to print? I have several different printables available. I will also be posting updated versions this evening and tomorrow. You can email me at littleldsideas@hotmail.com. A lot of times I have found that it’s nothing that I am doing. Each computer and Internet is different, and sometimes they just don’t cooperate. ?

Hi! I’m getting ready to start a new school year and the door to my classroom is going to have this theme. I was wondering if I might be able to get a single print, larger version (8x 10 ish) of this print to use a the center piece for my classroom door??

    1. Hi Jenny! Sorry I am just now replying to this comment. If you’d like a larger print just email me and I can do that for you (sheena@littleldsideas.net). Thanks!

Love this!! Do you have it in a jpeg format?

    1. Let me check. I’m sure I do, and if not I will make one and upload it to the post. Thanks!
