With the end of the year quickly approaching, Primary Presidencies all over are gearing up for 2018. I’m sure many of you are getting teacher binders together, figuring out your bulletin boards, and you might be thinking about what to do for birthday gifts for each Primary children. Today I have a fun Child of God Stamp Birthday Bag Idea that is fun and budget-friendly!
I have had this idea in my head for awhile now, but haven’t had a chance to sit down and actually create it. I thought of using a stamp for this year’s gift, because they’re cheap and fun (my kids love them, so I figured every kid likes them). I figured a cute tag with “Stamp-Endous” would work, and then I remembered my friend, Emilie from A Year of FHE, had created a fun stamp bag topper for her daughter and used the word “Stamp-Endous”. I messaged her and asked if I could use her cute idea and create a bag topper for Primary. At first I was thinking of creating a card to attach a stamp to, but after I saw her bag topper I knew that was the way to go. These would be so easy to assemble and then have in your Primary closet ready to go!

Child of God Stamp Birthday Bag
Since next year’s theme is “I am a Child of God” I had to incorporate that in there. On the front side I decided to have: “You are one ‘Stamp-endous’ Child of God! Happy Birthday”. And on the back I included another little message saying: “We hope you have a ‘Stamp-endous’ Birthday!”
I decided to have the little signature say, “From your friends in Primary” because I wanted the children to know that everyone in Primary was wishing them a Happy Birthday, not just the presidency.
I love how the toppers turned out. You could also include a small treat for the kids to enjoy, but I think it’s a great gift with just the stamp. Want to know how to put it all together?
How-To
To create your very own Child of God Stamp Birthday Bag, all you need is:
•My Stamp-endous Birthday Bag Toppers (link below)
•Clear Bags (the toppers are about 3.5″ wide, so a bag that wide would work great)
•Stamps: I like the emoji stamps (I found mine, affiliate link–> HERE, on Amazon)
•Staples
•Scissors or a paper cutter
That’s it! First, print out my Birthday Bag Topper and cut out each topper (there are 4 toppers per page). Once you have the toppers cut, grab your clear bags and place a stamp or two inside each bag.
My bags were kind of long, so I snipped a few inches off the top to make them shorter. Next, I folded my bag topper in half, placed it over my bag and stapled one both sides down near the bottom of the topper (see pic above).

I hope you enjoy my Child of God Birthday Bag idea and use it next year for your Primary. I would love to hear if you do, so be sure to leave me a comment letting me know. If you could find “Child of God” stamps, that would be amazing, but emoji stamps work just as well. 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Cute, thank you.
Cute idea. I serve in a unique calling over special needs adults called SNAP (special needs adult program). We have over 100 participants – some are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and some are not. We meet once a week and have singing time, sharing time (I know the church doesn’t, but we meet for 75 minutes so this is still in place), and class time.
It’s an amazing program. I’d love to use these toppers because treats are difficult with the variety of dietary needs. However, we aren’t “Primary”. Would there be an objection to altering that part (maybe letting me whitening it out) or could I pay you to create a unique one for us?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Heather! I am sorry I haven’t responded. I am no longer updating this website, so I don’t check comments very often. You are welcome to white-out the “Primary”. Thank you!
