2019 Young Women Printables & Gift Idea

Are you ready for 2019, and all the changes that come with it? I shared a great Young Women Monthly Calendar & Task Sheet a couple weeks ago (which I need to update with the changes) to help you get organized for the new year, did you see it? Today I am sharing some pretty 2019 Binder Covers, Poster, Theme Cards, and a gift idea. I hope you like what I shared.

Young Women 2019 Printables

I didn’t really plan on creating or sharing binder covers for this year, but a month or so ago I had the idea of making cell phone pop-grips to give to our Young Women (and to add to my shop, here).

We are planning on giving each of our Young Women a pop grip. I wanted to create something to attach to the pop grips, so I created these pretty theme cards.

Young Women 2019 Theme Card

The theme cards I created (pictured above) measure approximately 3″X5″, and would be great to handout at the beginning of the year or include in birthday bags. The Young Women can place them on their mirror at home, in their scriptures, or in their locker.

Cell phone pop grips are a great accessory for your cell phone, and they seem to be really popular with teenagers. I actually have one on my phone and have LOVED it. I didn’t think I would, but I am now a believer. 😉

I was excited how my graphic turned out after I created, but I love how the pop grips turned out even more.

Young Women 2019 Printables

I decided that my Young Women Theme Cards would also make a great Binder Cover and 2019 Theme Poster, so I got to work and created some Young Women 2019 Printables for you.

I have included binder covers for the President, both counselors, and secretary. I also included a blank PDF for you to use if needed. If you have any problems feel free to comment or email me. I also created an 11X14″ poster that you can print and hang in your Young Women room.

While I was creating my printables, I surveyed some people to see what they thought. Some people thought that I should have the word “Love” in the center. I thought about what they said, but when I created the graphic for my pop grip I wanted the word “Keep” as the main focus. Here is why…

When I created my graphic I thought about each word, and I ended up looking up the word “keep”. One of the definitions for keep is: to continue or cause to continue in a specified condition, position, course, etc.

We are all on a journey back to our Heavenly Father. Many people see commandments as restricting, keeping us from fully enjoying life. I see so many youth under the impression that they’re missing out. When they feel this way they tend to leave the path and see what the world has to offer.

I wanted our Young Women to see the word “Keep” and remember the path that they’re on, the goal that they are trying to reach. I don’t want them to be distracted by the pressures of the world, so I chose “Keep” to help remind them to keep on the path, to keep the commandments, and to keep the faith. If they are strong, courageous and KEEP the commandments, they will receive those wonderful promised blessings from our Heavenly Father.

When discussing keeping the commandments, I often think of the talk from Elder Von G. Keetch, “Blessed and Happy Are Those Who Keep the Commandments of God”, and the story he shared of the surfers and sharks (which could be used for some great activities for 2019).

I loved this quote from his talk, “As we trust in the Lord, exercise our faith, obey His commandments, and follow the course He has charted for us, we become more the person the Lord wants us to become.”

I am excited for this year’s theme, and to help our Young Women learn the importance of keeping the commandments. To help them learn that they aren’t inconvenient or restricting, but rather they are there to keep us safe, bring us joy, and to lead us back to our Heavenly Father.

Are you excited for this year’s theme? Do you have any ideas planned to introduce the theme? I’d love to hear them, so be sure to leave me a comment or send me an email (sheena@littleldsideas.net).

    1. Thank you so much for your comment, Donna. I love how they turned out and hope that the YW will like them as well. 🙂

  2. Jill

These are beautiful and are my favorite! Do you by chance have or would be willing to do the YW motto that is a part of this? Our bishop is not allowing us to combine at all and I only have one copy of our motto but I really want one hung weekly in the classrooms. It would be beautiful if they matched your scripture theme. Can you please let me know if you have one or if we could purchase one from you?

    1. Hi Jill! I’m so glad you like my binder covers. I will add that to my list and see what I can do. 🙂 I will email you soon. Thanks~

  3. Catherine

Where did you get your floral graphics. I would love to purchase them. This is beautiful.

    1. I purchased them on Creative Market. 🙂

  4. Bekah Chatterley

Hi Sheena! This is my favorite printable for this year’s theme, especially since you emphasize the word keep. Our New Beginnings will be centered around this theme ‘keep.’ This year, we are giving the girls water bottles at New Beginnings and then throughout the year, we will give them stickers to put on the water bottle that have to do with an activity or lesson (ie, a temple when we have our temple trip, a tent or something when we go camping, etc.). I would love to print a sticker of your design to use on the water bottle. Would you be willing to send me a jpeg of just the center flower wreath and verbiage to use for the sticker? I would happily pay for it. At any rate, I love what you’ve created and appreciate your sharing your talents with the rest of us!

    1. I just sent you an email. 🙂

  5. Jen

Thank you so much for sharing these! I used hem for covers for journals for our young women and they LOVE them.

    1. Thank you so much for letting me know! I am so glad they enjoyed the printables and that you were able to use them. 🙂

  7. Danielle

I would also love to have a copy of the YW motto please. These are beautiful!

  8. Marisa

I love, love, love these! I’m wanting to print the poster out at Costco but can’t make it work as they only accept jpg or png files (not PDF). Can you send the beautiful poster-sized one to me in a picture file, by chance??? We’re using your darling printables as the whole theme of our New Beginnings and basing the colors of the decor off this printable so I’d love to be able to have it printed up at Costco. Thanks so much for your help!

    1. Hi Marisa! I just sent you an email. 🙂 Thanks!

  9. Kasey

Absolutely love these, Sheena! Do you by chance have the YW Theme in the same style? I would love to put them together up on the board each week. No worries if you don’t, thanks!

    1. I don’t, but I can add that to my to-do list. I’m not sure when I’ll get to it, but I can try. 🙂

  10. Tracy

The link to your Etsy site said the item is unavailable. I’d love to purchase the “keep” cell phone pop grip! Thanks, Tracy

    1. Hi Tracy. I don’t have anymore available, I’m sorry.

  11. Jeanne Smith

Sheena, Thank you so much for your beautiful printable! I am going to use it for our YW camp. Our presidency talked about the scripture and we had the same idea to focus on the verb: keep, so I was so excited when I saw your design. We want to encourage our wonderful young women to keep on committing themselves to the Lord and stay on the gospel path. Thank you for sharing your talents with our youth! Would it be possible to get the psd or png image of the circle wreath without the background stripes?

    1. Hi Jeanne! I just sent you an email. 🙂
