General Conference ‘Go Fish!’

With General Conference quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to come up with a new game for your children to play (so you can have a few minutes to enjoy conference) during conference.

As I was thinking of ideas I thought of different card games, and looked around to see if there was any in particular that would work as a conference game.
I finally settled on ‘Go Fish!’
Go Fish Cards1

I also added instructions for ‘Pres. Monson {Old Maid}

and General Conference Match
At first I made cards with each of the 12 Apostles and the First Presidency. But then I decided to make a few conference ‘topic’ cards; examples: Temple, Baptism, Family, etc.

There are 8 pages total of ‘Conference Cards,’ including an instruction sheet for ‘Go Fish’ and 2 other games. But you could use these cards to play any type of game.

You could even combine these cards with my Conference Jenga. Label the Jenga blocks to match the cards. Then place the cards in a stack. Have someone draw a card and read it aloud. Whatever card they choose (Pres. Monson, Sacrament, etc.) is the block they have to pull out from the Jenga tower.
The possibilities are endless! Get creative, and if you come up with a fun game let me know!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! I have some other ‘General Conference’ posts scheduled, so be sure to check back.

  1. Sorry to point this out, because these cards are absolutely darling!! Could you correct the spelling on the “priesthood” card, please. Feel free to delete this (my) comment after doing so. 🙂
    Thanks for sharing your gifts with everyone!!

    Just found this for spring conference 2013! So excited to use these for my kiddies’. We thought we would cut these out, laminate them, and then put magnets on the back. Then as the kids listen to the talks they can match the topic with what apostle talked about that certain topic. We can display these on the back of a cookie sheet or on our door. The kids will love to see a visual of what each apostle talked about. I’m nervous to ask but could you make a few more topic cards? Maybe with topics like missionary, tithing, commandments, family, faith, home, prophet, etc.
    Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and time.

  3. Thank you so much! Love your designs and great ideas. Thank you for sharing your talents. These cards will be well loved at our house. Mahalo and aloha, malia

    If one day you make an “I Spy” with pictures, I’d love to know about it via email. Thanks again for all of your great ideas!
