This is what I have been working on today... the SEEK Workbook.
.
I have been thinking a lot about this workbook. What should it include? What would its purpose be? Will it help others strengthen their relationship with the Savior, their spouse, their family, and those they serve? I have prayed to know the answer to these and many other questions.

Slowly, but surely, this workbook is coming together. My hope is that this little creation of mine will aid you in your journey to seek Christ. That it will help you strengthen your relationships.

This started out as a project for those attending the SEEK retreat, but I realized that I had the ability to create something for anyone to use whether they attended or not.

I cannot wait until this is complete and in my hands.

I currently serve as the YW secretary in our ward as well as the 2nd Counselor in Stake YW. So many changes have been going on with the youth, at times it’s hard to keep up. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Last week we decided to read over and begin to memorize the new theme for our Wednesday activity.

I realized that before last week I hadn’t really sat down and read and pondered the meaning and messages of the new theme. “I am a beloved daughter of heavenly parents, with a divine nature and eternal destiny.” ❤️ “As a disciple of Jesus Christ, I strive to become like Him. I seek and act upon personal revelation and minister to others in His holy name.” “I will stand as a witness of God at all times and in all things and in all places.” “As I strive to qualify for exaltation, I cherish the gift of repentance and seek to improve each day. With faith, I will strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, and receive the ordinances and blessings of the holy temple.” This new theme is so powerful and should be something that all women repeat weekly (or even daily), not just our young women.

Changes can be hard. I was sure they would never get rid of the YW Values, but as I have learned more about the changes and why I have felt peace and am now so ready for this exciting time and changes.

My daughter turns 12 this year. It is so special that we get to learn this theme and program together.

I can't believe the SEEK Retreat is next month. It's exciting and scary all at the same time. I have had plenty of moments of doubt and negative thoughts. But then I'm reminded that this is so needed, that I felt inspired to do this, and as I follow this prompting, things will come together as long as I focus on Christ and make Him the focus.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
The word retreat means a quiet or secluded place in which one can rest and relax. But it also means an act of moving back or withdrawing. This is exactly what I want the SEEK Retreat to be. I want you to come and rest and relax from the craziness of life. I want you to be fed spiritually (and physically 😉). I want you to withdraw from the world and come ready to learn and be touched by the experiences and insight of our amazing teachers. But most of all...I want you to go away from the event with ideas of how you can center your life, your relationships, and your homes on Christ.⁠⠀

Confession...I have not studied or prepared for this special General Conference that President Nelson talked about and invited us to prepare for.⁠

Some questions he mentioned that we could ponder:⁠
•How would my life be different if my knowledge gained from the Book of Mormon were suddenly taken away? •How have the events that followed the First Vision made a difference for me and my loved ones?⁠

What have you done personally or as a family to study and prepare? I would love to hear any and all ideas.⁠ I have been listening to the Joseph Smith Papers Podcast in the church website, which I have loved!

Our mission at Seek Christ Daily is to help women make a difference in their relationships, their homes, their community, and the world as we focus on Christ and his attributes and seek to become better mothers, spouses, friends, and disciples of Jesus Christ.⁠

I love that we focus on seeking Christ in four areas: Individually, Marriage, Family, and Service. And I know as we take time to seek Christ in each of these areas we will accomplish our mission.⁠

We are focusing on marriage for our #striveforfivechallenge for the next two weeks. New to our challenge? This is a very simple challenge that we shared with a few months ago.⁠

Improving your life and your relationships isn't something that you can do all at once, we must work on it little by little. The Strive for Five challenge is our way of doing this.⁠
⁠
Take 5 minutes every day to SEEK Christ. So, for the next two weeks strive to seek Christ and do something to improve your marriage. Some ideas could include:⁠
⁠
•Have daily prayer with your spouse⁠
•Read a General Conference talk and discuss it with your spouse⁠
•Go on a date⁠
•Write a letter to your spouse or send a text⁠
•Make a plan to attend the temple⁠
•Serve your spouse in some way⁠

Yesterday I was looking through my quote folder that I have on my phone since I hadn't done that in awhile. It's probably time to do a little organizing in this quote folder as well.⁠

As I scrolled through all the quotes that I have collected, I came across this one. Isn't this such a great quote and reminder?⁠

I know some days are hard. Some days I am just a complete grump. This quote...I need to print out this quote and place it all over my home, car, on my phone.⁠

Elder Teixeira said, “The choices and priorities we make with our time online are decisive. They can determine our spiritual progress and maturity in the gospel and our desire to contribute to a better world and to live a more productive life.”

He then shared three habits that can help us establish healthy online activity.

1. Visit the Church’s Official Websites for Resources Often // The church’s website has some amazing resources. Have you visited it lately?

2. Subscribe to the Church’s Official Social Networks // “This choice will bring to your screen the content that is essential to deepen your searching and seeking of the Lord and His teachings, and it will strengthen your desire to understand the gospel.”

3. Make Time to Set Aside Your Mobile Devices // “It is refreshing to put aside our electronic devices for a while and instead turn the pages of the scriptures or take time to converse with family and friends. Especially on the Lord’s day, experience the peace of participating in a sacrament meeting without the constant urge to see if you have a new message or a new post.

The habit of setting aside your mobile device for a time will enrich and broaden your view of life, for life is not confined to a four-inch (10-cm) screen.” ❤️❤️❤️

This morning I took some time for me. I got to go to breakfast with two amazing ladies, Rachel from @3in30podcast and Kelsie from @adventuresofourplayfulhome .
.
We sat and ate and chatted. ❤️During our conversation, Kelsie shared this quote with us: “What if” is fear and “Even if” is faith.
.
I like to believe that I have faith, but as I thought about this quote I realized that I lack faith in myself. I think this is something that I’ve struggled with my whole life.
.
I am pretty quiet and shy. I never want to come across as “better than” or arrogant, so I often feel awkward talking about myself or projects that I’m working on. This lack of faith in myself causes a lot of “what if’s” in my life.
.
There have been a few moments/promptings the last few weeks that have made me more aware of this lack of faith, and that I need to work on it.
.
I am grateful for amazing friends, a loving husband and family, and a patient Father in Heaven that help me through this crazy life. ❤️
